Last Saturday morning I was able to start cleaning the gangway outside my side door at home. It is always a sign of spring when the process is begun. I haven't been to a pow-wow I guess for 16 yrs. I attended one at Washington University in 1992. I was doing an intership in college for the public radio station here in St. Louis and I did several interviews while at the pow-wow. Today I had the pleasure to go back again and enjoy. Today is my youngest son's birthday and he is out having a birthday celebration with his father, his daughter who will be 2yrs old on the 13th and his new girlfriiend. My son's father left when I was 4 months pregnant with him and re-emerged into his life about one and a half years ago. Yesterday his father had his 52nd birthday and my son is 26 today.
